Global Entrepreneurship Contest JiangsuDivision successully held

Global Entrepreneurship Competition for Foreigners Jiangsu Division & the Launching Ceremony of International Students Short Video Competition were successully held on 10th December in Nanjing Jiangsu. This event is directed by Zhejiang merchant institute, co-sponsored by Zhejiang association of small and medium enterprises, IHatoo Chinese online learning school, and metaverse special work committee of China international association for promotion of economics and technology, organized by overseas Chinese business special committee of Zhejiang provincial association of small and medium enterprise, and AoeChinese, and co-organized by Zhejiang association for overseas promotion of Chinese culture, Alibaba Alumni association, Huawei alumni association, and Wailian accelerator. More than 100 international students from more than 20 countries attended this event.

The foreign hornorable guests who attended this event were: Big data & AI expert Mr. Kishore Biswas, New Zealand Waikato University Senior Finance Instructer Dr. Sultan Sikandar Mirza, Bangladesh DBC Satellite News Channel Reporter Md Saiyedul Islam, and Deputy Directer of Krik University International Exchange Department etc.

Mr.Min Zhu, president of Ihatoo online Chinese school and executive director of Zhejiang association for overseas promotion of Chinese culture, gave an opening statement. The topic of speech is ‘opportunities and challenges of global e-commerce’. Mr.Zhu mentioned that challenges and opportunities coexist for crossborder e-commerce, and international students should grasp this growth opportunity in the post pandemic era.


Ping Chen, vice secretary general of Zhejiang association for overseas promotion of Chinese culture gave an opening statement for the first international student short video contest launching ceremony. We look forward to some high quality short cideos contents from international student friends, and it is our hope that thry can tell a ‘good China story’ ‘Spread China’s voice’ and showcase China’s elegance, as well as promoting global cultureal exchanges.


Jiangsu Division Competition received more than 300 business plans from students from more than 40 countries. 9 outstanding projects were finalisted, they were:

After competitive competition, project ‘Chin-Share’ by Mohammad Saiyedul Islam’s team won the 1st place of this competition. Their project explores the background of the digital economy, promoting global openness, cooperation and interconnection of Chinese cultural products to overseas markets. Solving the problem of the excellent "Chinese Traditional Cultural Industry" for going global market in the context of the Belt and Road initiative. Meeting the needs of global consumers for cultural products with Chinese characteristics and to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and the world.


YOYO Market Place by Md Ashim Ayub’s team won the 2nd place. YoYo marketplace platform which is B2C & B2B and will provide a seamless and secure marketplace for cross-border transactions, enabling sellers to reach a global customer base and buyers to access a wide range of unique and high-quality products from around the global.

During the competition, there was a roundtable penal discussion. The topic was ‘How to break the ice in crossborder e-commerce during the post-covid era?’. Invited guests for sharing their thoughts on ‘how to break the ice in crossborder e-commerce during the post-covid era?’. Student representatives, entrepreneurs, and experts shared us with different perspectives on this topic, and offered us valuable advice on the change of customer behaviour, how to conduct market research in different countries and how to grab the opportunities with new integrated technology during such period of time.


During this event, First International Students Short Video Competition was officially launched. We wish international students who are studying in China to ‘tell China’s stories’, ‘express China’s voice’, ‘showcase Chinese culture’ by their short videos. To promote cultural communication and exchange through short videos.

The next competition of 1st Global Entrepreneurship Competition for Foreigners will be hel in Shanghai China with the topic of AIGC, Let’s all look forward to it.
